Content

Architect/artist Coşkun Demirok assists in the creation of an environment where stretched ropes divide the space and generate its own natural choreography.

The first section can be read as a sense of despair and exhaustion caused by the restricted living space. The second section suggests an energy compression brought about by the meaninglessness and the quest for an exit. The third section can be interpreted as a cautious hope for change and a suppressed joy of life seeking expression.

Regardless of all these, this performance by theater and performance artist Miray Kotil can also be seen as an instant work with her improvisation on the artificial boundaries and limitations surrounding her. Influenced by archaic and ritual dances, Kotil finds her unique form in this performance that focuses on contemporary life. This work is the result of the collaborative efforts of two artists from very different generations brought together by coincidences.

Acoustic work

Using a computer program, Coşkun Demirok spontaneously and instantly composes compositions that form the acoustic structure guiding Miray Kotil's movements.

Mimar-sanatçı Coşkun Demirok, mekana gerilmiş iplerin parçalara böldüğü bir ortamın kendi doğal koreografisini oluşturmasına yardimci oluyor.

İlk bölüm kısıtlanan yaşam alanının neden olduğu ümitsizlik, tükenmişlik durumu olarak okunabilir. İkinci bölüm anlamsızlığın, çıkış yolu arayışının beraberinde getirdiği enerji sıkışmasını çağrıştırıyor. Üçüncü bölüm ise değişime yönelik temkinli bir ümit ve ifadesini arayan bastırılmış bir yaşam sevinci olarak yorumlanabilir.

Tüm bunlardan bağımsız olarak bu gösteri tiyatro ve performans sanatçısı Miray Kotil'in onu çevreleyen yapay sınırlara, sınırlamalara yönelik doğaçlamasıyla anında var olan bir çalışma olarak da görülebilir. Arkaik ve ritüel danslardan etkilenmiş olan Kotil, güncel yaşamı konu eden bu performansta kendine özgü bir biçim bulmaktadır.Bu çalışma çok farklı nesillerden gelen ve tesadüflerin buluşturduğu iki sanatçının ortak çabaları sonucunda gerçekleşti.

Akustik

Coşkun Demirok'un bir bilgisayar programından yararlanarak kendiliğinden ve anlık kararlarla kurguladığı kompozisyonlar Miray Kotil'in hareketlerine yön veren akustik yapıyı oluşturuyorlar.
